Server Relocation (Fully completed!)

We did it guys. It is with great happiness that I announce: we Canada now.

Our old servers now have redirect plugins up that should bring everyone into our new servers. For those of you who have us favorited, Steam should pick up the new IPs after a few hours (maybe up to a day).

Some additional downsides of this server move: play time tracking and the sprays website will both not be available for the new servers, unfortunately. We're going to be reworking how all that works. Expect a play time reset sometime in the future.

Additionally, I took the liberty of redoing some of our internal layout and config settings, so things may be slightly weird/off/different (like how many maps are included in map votes, and things like that). If you spot anything that doesn't seem to be behaving as it did before, please let me know!

Okay the scrapbank bot should be working now, and play time tracking should also be working. Still planning on redoing how that works (along with the play time reset) in the future.

Was getting quite annoying to see that my playtime hours were tripled-quadrupled.

Any ETA on when that's gonna be in effect? (Or at least time relativity - This month, next month, next year...)

Don't have a date for that yet. It's going to involve a complete redesign so we can track play time on individual servers along with displaying that to everyone in some fashion.

All that layered on top of the fact that I'm drowning in classwork this semester...

That's never fun (both the work and having to redo it all). Thanks for the info, though, and good luck with it whenever that may be.

My average ping will go from like 126 to 66 :P cuz I'm in Canada

more like 126 to 106
with these lagspikes, 126 to 400

The lowest ping i got when i did the speed test thing 23ms but the highest was 254ms

Test site said I would have a ping of 50 but I got a ping of <10    8)

Voided actually does work? I thought he just moved to Canada and upgraded our servers to Windows 98 and sat there all day.

i got a latency of 108 ping. Still gotta check on how accurate that is.
