Crashes After Latest Update

So twice since the latest update I've tried to play PH. Both times I've crashed when trying to fly with the flamethrower. And apparently I'm not the only one who has crashed.
Is there a way to fix this?

Disable thirdperson, it's a bug with the latest TF2 update.

Valve will likely have an update that will fix it soon.
