Grooveshark > FragRadio
« on: June 03, 2014, 07:56:57 pm »
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but why not:

It has come to my attention that a vast majority of players do not care for FragRadio's music due to how outdated the songs are and etc.. Therefore, I have come up with a suggestion for Grooveshark to be implemented.
https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=226704

This plugin was originally made by [GNC] Matt, a sexy beast, but he stopped updating it and now some other dude decided to update it.
I would highly recommend that Saxton Hell obtains this plugin!

Basically why Grooveshark > FragRadio is because you can choose any song that you would like to listen to with one command. While on the other hand with FragRadio, you have to listen to the song that THEY put up, which is usually not in a person's favor. Or maybe instead of replace FragRadio with Grooveshark, why not have both? The only downside that I have seen with Grooveshark is that it does not have volume control, which honestly isn't too big of a deal and still surpasses FragRadio.

Yes please.  Even though I normally play music outside of the game using Foobar2K, I'd still want the Grooveshark plugin on the servers here.

Open volume mixer and turn it down from there.

I just tested this plugin on my CSGO and TF2 servers. Seems to work flawlessly.

Pandora has advertisements, along with FragRadio, therefore it is not better than Grooveshark. Not to mention you can actually search/pick the song that you want to listen to.

Open volume mixer and turn it down from there.
That would mean that all of the Team Fortress sounds would be turned down along with Grooveshark, which was not my point. The plugin itself does not have a volume control, so you're going to have blasting music while not being able to hear people talking in-game or other game sounds. While with FragRadio, it has a volume control implemented in the plugin.
