SLOW map downloads

For some reason, ever since deleting a ton of maps from my map folder (had 3.2gb of maps in there), All map downloads are extreeemely slow, and usually dont even download (they freeze around the 50-60% mark).

Anyone know a way to fix this? It's getting really annoying.

Tf2 games take forever to load in general Its just doing that thing where it says "Retrieving server info" and it freezes the screen for awhile. It'll still say that its downloading the map but its actually retrieving server info. So you just have to be really patient.
Once the loading bar says "Sending client info" or something like that, just know that your game will start within the next minute more or less.
They need to do something about that...
