Spammer and general jerk in ZF

There is a user on the Zombie Fortress server who is known to spam walls of vulgar text with a bind, then act rudely towards other users who call him out. He happens to be a regular, and users ask him to stop daily.

The user in question is "A Rather Festive"

in all seriousness tho hes never this bad about it and hes not useually a jerk he just hits his bind when he dies he only spammed it when people where harassing him.

The auto-ban doesn't ever work, it seems, on mic or text. Also, there's no "ignore x user in chat" function.

Next time, it would be very helpful to include a player's steam ID so we can ensure a quicker ban. Luckily I was able to find him. To find an ID, just go into console, type "status" without quotation marks, then copy and paste their steam ID in the list that appears in the console.

Also, muting a player through tf2 should also mute their chat.

I'm not exactly sure about this, as we have spammers in chat all the time on Trading Hell and they don't get chat-banned, but I do know the mic has an auto-gag if people are on it too long.

I think that is for Trading Hell only. I've tried it on most of the other servers and client side chat mutes do work.

Yeah, I know that client-side chat mutes work; it even works on Trading Hell. I was more talking about the auto-gag in chat where if someone spams something over and over again, it doesn't gag them automatically.
