How do I get Saxton Hell's custom maps to work for SteamPipe? I looked around and I didn't see much help on it.

Make a file in common/Team Fortress 2/tf named custom. Make a folder named maps in the custom folder, and put maps there.

Usually around Trading Hell and Zombie Hell. Message me on Steam if you need something.

There was already a folder named custom, I made mine custom2, put the map there, and tried to play. It just downloaded the map again and put it into downloads. Should I delete the custom folder already there?

Making a folder called custom2 in the tf folder won't do much for you. It looks in the custom folder for any map that you may have downloaded.

The servers are updated to use SteamPipe, so the map should work as soon as you download them from the server.

The folder takes one file type while I'm giving another completely different map type.

Maps go in tf/download/maps. Only personal mods go in custom. All server based mods and stuff goes in download.

They already go in there, they just don't work in there. That's why I made the post.

Well that's where they go. If they're not working something's wrong with your game.

Well, should I install it again?

I'd probably just delete the maps folder in download and redownload the maps. Likely something's messed up with your files there. If that doesn't work, reinstalling might be your only option.

This is what you do. You have to go to the custom folder in the tf file and make a new sub-folder names custom_things, or at least that's what I did. After that, you make 5 files: Maps, Materials, Models, Resource, and Scripts. For any file that isn't vpk, move to the respective folder (I.E. trade_celshade_r2 goes into the Maps folder in tf/custom/custom_things/Maps). For any vpk files, you move them to the custom folder (tf/custom) and then drop it down. Any further downloads will be put into those folders I've specified.

Usually around Trading Hell and Zombie Hell. Message me on Steam if you need something.

Didn't work...at all. No matter what I do, it says it ran out of space on a lot of maps, like Death Run Hell Horrors.

Ran out of space? Is your hard drive full?

Honestly, the maps should more or less take care of themselves. You really shouldn't be having issues with them.
