And I bet the old list is gone now too
We keep backups so nothing is ever truly lost.
There's really no point getting the old people out anyways, something that holds records should not be reset.
It's like reseting the Olympic records because some of them were made 30 years ago
I'll agree with this, but there aren't many good choices for performing a reset.
It's mostly due to how our playtime tracking was originally designed. As it was one of our first stat tracking systems, I didn't really have the foresight to think of any cases where we'd want to reset current playtimes but still keep them available. Our
dodgeball ranking system was designed considerably better, by splitting records into "seasons" so that rankings can always get refreshed but you can always look back to an older season to see who was best back then.
Something like this and per-server playtime tracking is a wishlist feature for us.
