There was another similar case about seven years back with CSS as I remember, the download would be something odd like "happy.scr" and instantly run the file. It would give the file access to change about anything such as administrator programs. It would open up an incognito browser window and bring you to a URL with all the shit they wanted to infect you with. Can't really remember the specifics as to what it changed, but it was pretty ugly. Would infect you with malware, spyware, and a bunch of other stuff that'll lock you out. Anti-viruses were not as great as they are today, just about any type of advanced malware could get past them.
