Long story short, i simply don't want to waste the time to mute people individually. Yes, i know how simple it is, but that's not the full story. I tell people that just to move on and play the game.
Short story long, it's mainly to keep the stress down. You might agree "Yeah, squeakers'll do that to you" or "Micspam ruins it for other people.", but it's not just that. It's that ALL of that makes me nervous, regardless of what it is. That's whats called as Social Anxiety. I can't justify why a mass of 20 voices and booming music is worse than hell to me, i just live with it.
You might now say "Lester, just mute it, man!"
It's not that simple. Correct me if i'm wrong, but it's human nature to stay away from things that constantly bring you fear. And if i avoid things i fear, i wouldn't be here right now and my server list would be half of what it is, which is a slim 6 servers.
I hear all of this is called Social Anxiety and that i have it. I also hear it's unfortunately quite common amongst us.
I was also told i have "General Anxieties", which probably explains all the weird... Sorry... -ahem- Which means, i tend to take things entirely the wrong way. I blame both of these on my childhood.
I'd prefer to people to understand, but my past has more than proved that most of you don't and prefer to respond to it quite hashly. I've learned that this could be called "Trolling", in which i've developed a mental masochistic high to cope with it... there's more, but now it's leading to an entirely new story, so i'll end it here.
