General Discussion / Edit: Everything works again (except tails)!

Unusual effects, avatars, strange weapon count, and everything else that's normally not showing is back. Apparently this means that tails are broken, whoops.

PropHunt Hell / Seasonal Maps - Halloween

Heya! It's been suggested to me that we have maps in a "seasonal" rotation, such as removing a few of the maps until Halloween. These being mostly the spooky/manor maps and the fact that they are the only ones with a definite holiday theme that we have. This way, we can kind of differentiate from the same rotation every other day with maps and enjoy the Halloween maps (and the non-Halloween maps) a bit more since they aren't always around. We could have them for just the month of October, or even maybe September - December to make them a little more playable than just one month. Thoughts anyone?

PropHunt Hell / Bushwacka Jumping

Hey guys! I just wanted to know some thoughts and ideas/concerns about adding some mobility to everyone's favorite Australian outback... homeless man.

Anyways, there's this awesome thing on jump, vsh, and freak fortress where a sniper can basically melee a wall to be propelled a little upward. Of course in PH it would still do the self damage and everything, but would allow you to get around a little better to get those nasty props.

So whatcha say?

PropHunt Hell / Rank Removal

Hey everyone.

This post is to ask your opinions on the Prophunt Stats and if they should be removed or no.

No, this is not a definite thing. This is mostly for opinions.


My thoughts personally are they should be removed. My reasoning being prophunt was more enjoyable and laid back when there were no ranks. Yes, some people care about their rank and some people couldn't give a shit less. My thoughts are being that with ranks gone everyone would be able to enjoy prophunt as it was before: a laid back past time without players stroking their e-penises with their rank every 5 minutes.

Discuss.

PropHunt Hell / Solution for Exploding Binds.

Okay, so exploding binds aren't griefing.

How about this, if someone kills themselves with a suicide/explode bind, they lose ranking points.

They lose points when they are killed by someone, but not when they kill themselves, how is that fair?

Discuss.

Some of you may have realized that not every prop on a map is available to hide as.

What are your thoughts on adding a wider selection of available props for every map?

It's more then likely happened to you before, you see a prop and are approaching flaming distance when they hit a suicide/explode bind and take a hard earned kill away from you.

Is this griefing?

PropHunt Hell / Suggested Propmenu Props

If you're reading this out of curiosity, Donators the the Saxton Hell servers get a Propmenu to use in PropHunt Hell.

Anyways, this is a thread to suggest new propmenu props.
Please leave the entire path to the model, as will be demonstrated with my suggestions.
A (hopefully) full list of models can be found here: http://newjetpack.com/tf/models/

First one, Lil Chew Chew
/tf/models/lilchewchew/lilchewchew_v3.mdl



Second, The Headless Hatman. A.K.A. HHH.
The prop for the HHH, however, is just a civilian version. Much like the other civilian class models.

Third, with no picture available, is an ambulance.
/tf/models/ambulance.mdl

If you look at the Headquarters prophunt map, there is one along one of the metal platforms being held by the crane, directly beside the control point.


That is all the props I have to suggest as of right now, feel free to reply with comments, concerns, etc.

PropHunt Hell / OP Weapons/ suggested weapon changes.

Please Note: I do not know prior to this if any of the Saxton Hell admins can actually change the Prophunt loadout settings, as, to my knowledge, they did not create the mod itself.

It's come to my attention that a few of the new weapons along with an old weapon are very cheap/annoying for Prophunt.

Reserve Shooter
Suggestion - Take it out
Reason - When props run away, they jump a lot. The Reserve Shooter already gets mini-crits on them as they jump, and has an extra shot compared to the normal shotgun.

Beggar's Bazooka
Suggestion - Take it out
Reason - It take 2-3 rockets to kill a scout, and fires extremely fast while the 3 rockets can be preloaded into the chamber.

Rainblower
Suggestion - Nerf Self-Damage
Reason - Yes, the taunt is able to kill, and yes, it can be spammed, but aside it's just a reskin.

Thanks for considering these for change, and feel free to comment/suggest more changes (if they can be implemented).

PropHunt Hell / New Maps

Hello, fellow Prophunt players!
I've been playing prophunt a few months now and I can't get enough of it.
I talked with a few players and we thought it a good idea to try and get some new maps.
I found a few maps we could use, just not sure if we can.

My questions are:
What are everyone's thoughts on this?
Is it possible to get more maps put into the rotation? (More for the Admins)

Please, discuss.
