General Discussion / Steam Escrow and Scrapbank bots.

With the escrow in place, how will this affect the performance of the Saxton Hell Scrapbank bot?  If some of us didn't opt-in to use the Mobile Authenticator (because some of us didn't have cell phones or tablets or are just too fucking poor), will we have to wait to get our scrap metal?

After everyone else has died, this guy started conga-ing and trying to headbutt with any ghost that's on the map. And the worst part -- and here's the thing because Hitler can't reach those that are inside elevators, he stands in one place and dodges the motivator altogether!  So basically while he's the last man standing, he was pretty much useless the whole round.

I noticed that some people had trouble accessing my OneDrive folder "demofiles", so I have this video up for convenience.


But if you still take demofiles...

So I open the server browser to start playing, and all of my favorite servers are GONE!

What happened?

Not to mention I had just ran a System Restore on this PC yesterday.

And just to add salt to the wound, players can reach the virtually-inaccessable nether portal from below.



Some people said that Mannpower Mode and those hooks are going to introduce more of these gambits and exploits alike.

Oh Valve!  Can't you not pair me with players in my region (US East / West) with a DOTA profile equal to or less than my level?  Who the fuck made up the concept of the All-Hero challenge, anyway?

Machine Hell #1 & #2 / What's this "Buffer overflow in net message" bullshit?

I'm trying to play Machine Hell, on Pyro, with a team of other people on the server, and right after a wave fails, I'm the one that gets kicked off with this fucking error ... repeatedly!  So, why can't I play as [CLASS NAME HERE]?

Also, what's with this arbitrary rule that you can't change classes during a wave?

General Discussion / I can't scrap my weapons, Fuck SteamWebHelper

This has gone on since the new Steam Client update months ago, where now there's multiple "SteamWebHelper" instances that sit idle on your system, taking up resources. But now it's gotten worse!  I can't trade or scrap my weapons because the damn trade screen freezes up when I accept a trade, and for each time it says "the scrapbank bot is currently offline".  It's like the scrapbank bot is deliberately ignoring my hails.

And when I do get the trade window to come up, I can barely get any controls to work or anything moved, because then I have to go into the Task Manager to boost the priorities of the five or six SteamWebHelpers running in the background.  I mean seriously? Valve's bullshit needs to stop.  Whatever happened to rendering pages inside the client rather than relying on a separate process to do it with?

How many trades actually failed or scrapbank requests actually been declined because the trade window didn't load?

There's already 2 different sets of airblast sounds for each of the servers, but what if we suggested more than one?

Like would you rather hear a bit of Skrillex or Knife Party after a successful Double Airshot?

Trading Hell / TRADE MINECRAFT 2014 V2 exploit/bug/whatever, players teleporting on the roof

inb4 TF2 update, again, also this person glitched it, for no particular reason, Dr. Chipolte managed to build an exit teleporter on the roof and players started TP'ing up there.

Also, the reason the trades weren't working, Valve put out another subsequent update to TF2 fixing crashing related to using custom HUDs.  I couldn't even change loadout on my Scout for some dumb reason and steam tells me "no connection" when clearly it ignores all other internet activity going around it.

So, I was playing Hale, and setting off traps trying to kill everyone, and we get to the point where there's 4 holes in the ground before the sinking platforms. I set it off, the the damn things kill me instead!  I was like, WHAT THE FUCK?!

Makes me wonder if the Hale booth is explosion-proof.  Here's what I dumped out of the console the moment it happened:

General Discussion / Taunts on Presets Getting Unloaded

For some reason, my taunts on all other presets except for "A" gets unloaded when I join Trading Hell. Don't ask me, but when I try to join a conga line, I end up jumping back out of it.  What'd you do with the taunt menu?

Off Topic / Folding@home and playing games

So I have a Folding@Home client running on my GPU. If I run Team Fortress 2 on here, or Left 4 Dead 2, Dota 2, Loadout, The Sims 2 on this setup, will it hurt anything?

There was this one time I left it alone for a long time playing nothing but Facebook games and all it did was make them run slow, but unfortunately for the Folding client, it dumped the work unit saying it was corrupt, or it had invalid data.  I had been running stock 1050/1150 on my new ASUS R7-250 since the day I got it (3 months old).

It's annoying! After 90 minutes or so since the game was launched, and I try to launch something that uses the HTML MOTDs, the fucking game crashes!
Are you using bits and pieces of that Pinion adware?
