Freak Fortress Hell / 3x falling damage to the player you land on?

Hale bosses on ff2 seem to have lost their abilities to stomp people on the head like they can on #1/ #2, (Not talking about the goomba stomp that seelder and seeman has)
But in their weapons description it still says "deals 3x falling damage to the player you land on",
Glitched? Meant to disable it?
I really like the ff2 hales but at the same time I wanna stomp people on the head lul.
