This thread will be used to keep track of the maps added and removed from the Trade Hell rotation.

Feel free to discuss any map suggestions in this thread!

I tried to nominate the maps, but only the original 4 (Plaza, minecraft, plaza epic, and Minecraft plaza) show up in the nomination list. Would there be a fix by any chance?

My crashes a lot while on trade_abstract2. This also happens to a friend of mine, so I'm assuming it happens to everyone on the server. Does anyone else have this problem?  :-\

It did for me too. Maybe it's because of the 33 MB map it already is + action/killing in it = crashes in it? I don't know for sure.

Hey! Punishment_Fatal back with another new map suggestion! It's called pkmn_goldenrod_city_b3 for all you Pokemon fans out there. Here's the link: http://gamebanana.com/tf2/maps/171125 (http://gamebanana.com/tf2/maps/171125) . It includes numerous different rooms, hidden Easter eggs, and who can of course forget the Gameboys. There are 12 Gameboys hidden around the map! Try to find them. I have encountered 2 problems with it though: 1. I don't know for sure, but I think there's no attacking of any sort, like how hugbox is, with being able to take no damage. 2. There's a DJ room that could interfere with the micspam. Other than that, it seems pretty good. Hopefully it doesn't turn out like trade_abstract_b2 if you guys accept it. Thanks for considering!  :D

I think I'm in love with this Goldenrod map.

As for the DJ Room, it's map music. So players can just turn down their tf2 sound if they want to hear a mic spammers song.

Hey! Punishment_Fatal back with another map for Trading Hell. Sorry for the long go away from Trading Hell, but I've been busy murdering robots. The map is none other than *drumroll* Mario Kart! It's a TF2 map made after Mario Kart which can be turned into a Trade map if we make the map end after a certain time. It includes some secret areas that can be accessed by going around the map and finding gifts! It has some mini games and HHH himself. Thanks for considering!

The prospect of running mario kart is to have a DM server, which our trade server decidedly won't support very well with players with godmode and whatnot. I don't want to attract players who would rather focus on gameplay than trade.

It's a fairly large trade map with huge spawnrooms and a DJ room. It looks like it would be a pretty good addition to Trading Hell as 7 maps isn't enough in my opinion. Thanks for considering!

Do you know the map's name? Also, it might have a problem with donators with godmode/the flashy lights might give some people seizures.

We've had hugbox before. We removed it because it doesn't strip all weapons anymore (such as the flying guillotine).

It prioritizes the use of the +use command for some hidden doors and secrets, much like other famous maps. It looks slightly large, and has an airship. The airship has a music feature that can play, although you would have to download the sound files for it here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/sounds/17223 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/sounds/17223) . Other than that, the map looks pretty impressive. It would be a nice addition.

It has some secret easter eggs and a Pokemon arena; a POKEMON arena! When's the last time we had that you might ask? Hey! Punishment_Fatal back here with another map suggestion. No, I actually did not find the map this time, but instead Lester Roquefort found it and showed me the link. Well, here's the map. It's none other than Clocktown and other parts of Majora's Mask! Here's the link: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1234028 (http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1234028) . This map comes in many sections. It has Clocktown, outside of Clocktown (sorry, I didn't play Majora's Mask so I have no idea what these places are), the observatory, and Termina. All 3 of these parts are connected, and they have little easter eggs along with them. Here is my favorite part of the map though: It switches times! That's right, it switches from day to night after a period of time, and it has weather! I'm currently waiting for Day 4 to happen so that I might fight Skull Kid on the top of Clocktower. Sidenote: I don't know this for sure, but we might need the plugins that are in the link I've provided. Anyways, other than that, I hope you accept this map, and I will see you later.

This map was suggested before elsewhere, and we decided against it due to in-map reskins of existing content which leads to issues when joining other servers.

We also had the previous version of this map at some point in the past, and removed it because one of the spawns didn't have any doors to prevent players from shooting inside.

Okay, fine; only trade maps. Which reminds me, I'm Punishment_Fatal back with a new trade map! It's called trade_mega. Link's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/172830 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/172830) . Trade_mega is relatively smaller than Goldenrodcity, but it's still massive. It's set like an Egyptian expedition that was abandoned on the outside, and the inside of a pyramid on the inside. The map features an automated soccer game, an automated dueling arena, a jumping course, and a whole lot of easter eggs. (Yes, the dueling arena encages 2 people in, and the winner gets teleported out. The soccer game becomes open to everyone, but the losing team is stunned and later killed for losing.) The map is hard to maneuver without some form of propelled jumping (Rocket jump, sticky jump, etc.) since it has a huge height and width. (For the soccer course, we might have to change phys_pushscale to something over 50 since the soccer ball will be hard to maneuver at 1. If it's not enabled already, could we be able to change it to that?). Anyways, I hope you like the map, and I will see you later.

Hey! Punishment_Fatal back here with another map. Before this, I must say something; I'm sorry for the IRC beeps you'll get since my anxious self can't keep still. Anyways, the map is called trade_meincraft_shtupid_v2. Link's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/173173 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/173173) . Yes, it's a minecraft map, but it has twists added in. The boxing arena now limits your weapons to melee only, and there's an idle killer. You heard me, an IDLE KILLER! It will now stop those who want to idle on the server and not get anything. (Besides, the only maps that have idle killers besides this one is celshade and minecraft_plaza.) Anyways, there's little easter eggs around the map, and a maze under the map. Take a wrong turn, and end up falling in a pit of lava forever. Take the right path, and choose your fate of where you go. You could end up back in the maze, with dispensers, right under RED spawn, or some random place on the map. The easter eggs I have yet to find out how to activate, but there is a secret music room on the map. Anyways, hope you like the suggestion, and listen to this while I go away hoping you accept the map.

It has movable boats, yes MOVABLE boats. It also comes with a music room, Pyro tennis, Heavy boxing, and Treasure Island where you get there by killing MONOCULUS! and taking his teleporter. Anyways, the map checks out in my opinion, and I hope you add it.  8)

Edit: The music room has no stops on music. If we play 2 songs at the same time, it lags TREMENDOUSLY. If there's any way to mod it so we can block off the music or play each song one at a time, it would be good.

If not this map, how about this map? The map's name is Trade_Minecraft_GHS. Link's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/172005 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/172005) . Looks like an ordinary Minecraft map w/ a Nether and back. It looks open so it'll be a change from indoor maps. Hope you like it.

Edit: Well crud, this map has not 1 .bsp, but 8! EIGHT! We can have a Halloween one w/o Nether, w/ Nether, Normal w/ Nether, Normal w/o Nether, and other server ones I think. Anyways, pick your choice on this map because I really don't want 4 of the same map reskinned :O

Edit of the Edit: Add the Optimized version in order to have the Nether.

Mostly, it's a Heavy boxing arena w/ secrets, and a lot of room to move. There's a Demoman sticky golf course, a shooting range, and a jump course. Anyways, this map has a dueling arena, idle killer in spawn, and a small trading plaza, but not really much of one. It has some other places that are really weird, but it's a fun map. Added trade_ghs_minecraft_sxh_v2 to the rotation. This is actually trade_ghs_minecraft_optimized_v2, but had to be renamed to a (hopefully) non-conflicting filename because the original name is too long.

trade_mannconomy_v5g has lots of player model entities, and that causes tons of bandwidth usage.
duel_trade_idle_abstract has some really odd server perf issues when entering certain PVSs. It also doesn't help that the map was compiled strangely (and may be related)

I am Punishment_Fatal and I am back with new maps. This one is called trade_concrete_b1. Link's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/166738 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/166738) . Mostly, this is a small map with just a lot of close quarter combat. There's a skybox that can only be reached through noclip, and it's a beach for admins to relax or something like that. Near BLU and RED spawn is a Vagineer model, which can only be seen if you have the model from FF2 or VSH. It'll instantly kill anyone who touches it, except for godmoders. Anyways, that's my map suggestion, and I hope it'll be added.

Back again with another map. This map is trade_entertainment. Link's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/166700 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/166700) . Same as the last one, it's close quarters. It has an idle killer, and a pool that heals you if you step into it.

Hello again. This map is trade_clickshome. Link's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/159707 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/159707) . It's a somewhat big map with easter eggs that I don't know how to access. It also has an idle killer, and a breakable wall inside a barricade where you can have Sniper battles.

Same old drill. This map is trade_hopps_lobby. Link's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/159468 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/159468) . It's a map with big rooms and a soccer course. This map does not have an idle killer unfortunately, but has full access to Sniper battles.

This map's trade_magic. Link's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/155462 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/155462) . Not much fighting going on. BLU spawns in a glass box where RED can press a button to kill whoever's in there (Well, at least whoever's touching the water). It's mostly meme-based. There's no real killing going on so I'm a bit iffy on the map.

Let's just cut right to the point. This map's trade_plaza_warehouse. Link's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/173628 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/173628) . It's basically a map that's designed to look like a warehouse. A bit darker since it's night, and it has moving cars in the background. There's no Sniper battles that can happen from spawn to spawn since each spawn door has a crate several feet from the entrance. There's a special spycrab room which can only be accessed by an admin via noclip. They just noclip to the spycrab room inside the tower and then teleport the spycrabbers into the room.

Well, here you go Voidy. Here's the emotionally-scarring map I was talking about. This map is trade_psykopat. It is a map, with a hidden element I would like to call sɔɹǝɐɯǝɹs . It has multiple sɔɹǝɐɯǝɹs everywhere you go. All teleports lead to the same area, which is the middle, and there's hidden easter eggs around the map. This map was made by the same map creator who made trade_abstract2, so let's hope it doesn't crash. I must warn you though, this map contains someone very ominious. Someone who could pop out of nowhere. He roams around taking papers and using his tentacl- No, I'm kidding. It's not Slenderman, it's someone worse. It's Jeff the Killer, who's come to murder your soul. So yeah, have fun with the map <3. (Also Voidy, this is just an addition to the 6 other maps back at my last post).

With forums back up, I am back with another map suggestion! This map is called trade_mymind. Link's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/173832 . The map in the beginning is like abstract, but it's not entirely like that. There's no easter eggs that I could find on this map, but there are 2 teleporters. One teleporter leads to the classic boxing ring, and the other leads to a room where you can worship Gabe Newell, have books, look at animals or look at ponies (although I must say, it's a trap!). Some posters in the room with books, Gabe Newell, animals and ponies may do something when you shoot it. For example, walking up to the mighty pope Gabe Newell will play a Hallelujah in the background followed by an explosion. Anyways, that's pretty much the map. It doesn't look like it'll do much damage, but I have my fingers crossed.

Thanks to BoBo, I was able to find one more map. This map is called trade_plaza_winter. Here's the link: http://www.tfmaps.com/details.php?file=286 . It's a fairly small map, but it does provide every aspect of the original trade_plaza. It's a nice and cozy map, just in case you want to avoid any of the bright and flashy maps. Each player can see each other from their own spawn, but they can't shoot each other. Anyways, hope you like the map.

It's currently a cp map, but it looks fit to be able to be a trade map. It even has the tag trade in it. I was wondering if we could disable the cp's so that we don't end a round by capturing all the cp's.

Still, that place has less maps than Gamebanana. (Btw, I already knew about that website. I just didn't like the layout and I ignored it since it didn't have good enough maps in my opinion at the time.)

No dice on trade_mymind, as it uses unoptimized bone follows. Basically any map that has animated prop_dynamic player models is generally not a good fit due to their excess network usage.

I'm here with another map. This map is called trade_unusual_quakeman. Link's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/174034 . This map is flat out a colorful reskin of plr_hightower. It has multiple dispenser pads that heal you in every corner (people with dispenser radios watch out) and has some video game consoles that have animated gifs. I'm sorry, but you cannot use the games to your advantage. That's pretty much it. It's basically just a colorful hightower, so there's not much more to say.

In that case I am back after looking for a map. This map is called trade_fuzecraft_b9. Link for download's here: http://www.mediafire.com/?25dqd7w5dkxfffd . Anyways, this is a Minecraft map with back-to-back bases so people can keep on doing their Sniper wars. It does have a respawn locker, and an underground jumping course. It has 6 areas: The main area, the Nether, the snowy castle, a jump course, the Aether, and a little town area. The Nether is a copy/paste of the minecraft Nether with some wood floors connecting the Nether platforms and a slightly darker entrance. The snowy castle is pretty self-explanatory. The jump course is also self-explanatory. The Aether for you non-Minecraft modders or people who don't care about it is a Minecraft world in the sky. It has a temple that just serves as a little bar and falling off this world will teleport you to the main world in the pool, so you don't have to worry about fall damage. The little town area has a basketball court and a dodgeball court, but nothing too special. This map also has a boxing ring and a strip bar (P.S. There's no stripper). Anyways, that's all I have for you guys and I will see you later.

Got some more maps. This map is called trade_phys_tower_b9. Link for download's here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/419vgpiu20bdphc/trade_phys_tower_b9.bsp . Anyways, this map has 2 sides where Red and Blu spawn. In the middle is this huge tower, which seperates Red and Blu from sniping each other. Underneath these towers is a huge pool of water where people can swim in and kill. This is the interesting part though, the towers can be destroyed. When you hit a certain part of the Red, Blu, or middle towers for a certain amount of time, the props will then get destroyed thus sending them down. Anyone that is unfortunate enough to be under them or in them will be crushed. Once these are destroyed, the players will spawn in the sky which leads them into the pool of water. If they manage to reach the bottom, there's a little area where people can farm Stranges and do whatever.

This one is trade_pokemon_stadium_mod2. Link for download's here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/vll3yaw38w18nh7/trade_pokemon_stadium_mod2.bsp . This map is basically one giant Pokemon arena. There's a huge gap in between Red and Blu spawn, and people can keep on killing each other. The arena in the middle transitions sometimes where it can become a place where electricity currents pop out of the ground or where it changes to a snowy arena.

This one is trade_minecraftworld_a4. Link for download's here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/bs9fx3a7ju89lw6/trade_minecraftworld_a4.bsp . This map is, you got it, Minecraft. It's a medium-sized Minecraft-themed map filled with an underground tunnel and overworld fighting. A HHH spawns in the middle of the map underground, but he can't move so it won't affect players much.

I am back with another map, and it's from Gamebanana! The map's called trade_hopi_plaza_v1. Link for download's here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/174341 . This... is a huge map I must say. Not as big as trade_mega, but a bit bigger than trade_plaza_epic. It comes with a spycrab room, a maze, a sentry room where you can fight a sentry and see how long you live, a godmode room which makes people invincible until they leave that room, a sentry/dispenser room for Spies to get achievements, an underground pool with lasers, a boxing room, a warehouse where both teams can cap the point, but it has no timer so the map doesn't end, and a secret room where people can make HHH spawn. It's like trade_plaza except with a crap-ton of things added into it. There are 4 ways to leave the spawn, 2 of which lead to either the Spycrab room or the boxing arena. The godmode room is like the central hub of the areas in which it's connected to almost every room. The Spycrab room has 7 boxes in total where spycrabs can go into. There's a room made entirely out of glass in the back-center of the room which controls what happens. Once the spycrabs are in the room, the moderator of the box can close the glass doors and judge from there. There's a timer named "Taunt" that when pressed, counts down and rings to alert people to spycrab. If someone is knocked out, the moderator of the box can press a button that activates a laser in that room, killing the spycrab. Once there's a winner, the moderator can press a red button and the glass doors will be removed. That's all I have for today, and I will see you later.

This map is a mix of trade_minecraft_42 nether with a twist, trade_abstract, and Mario Kart. It provides an open enviroment along with a Nether, a pony porn trap (not really), the 2nd world of Mario Kart, and a special place where admins can noclip and play songs throughout the map. The mario part includes a minigame where you have to stay on a platform when a timer goes down or else you get teleporter out. It also includes 2 HHH's: One in Mario Kart and the other at the spawn. They can't move from where they spawn so rest assured that he won't kill you. I hope you enjoy the map, and I will see you later.

Thanks for that. It was bugging me too when I installed the map, and I didn't think there was a way to remove it, so that's why I was a bit reluctant.

The map itself isn't that big in size, but it's a very tall and lovely map, having beautiful textures to show every part of the map clearly. Anyways, back to the actual gameplay mechanics. There are 3 spawndoors for each team so it's pretty hard to get spawncamped all the time, and the spawnrooms are rather big. The main house is rather big, but has multiple rooms for leisure (and possibly fighting). With 3 paths, you got the normal out-of-spawn door, an underground path that can lead to more fighting as the spawnrooms are rather close, and a side path on each side that leads out to the main area. Overall, I'd say this map is pretty good.

While the size does concern me, it's a very open map with a boxing ring and spycrab arena (not like we need a spycrab place) seperated and accessible from spawn, so no killing will happen in the process. The main highlight of this map though is outside, which is space in its entirety. There's asteroids, and asteroids, a random space gas station for each team so you can resupply there, and more asteroids. The skybox on that map is almost non-existent as the highest asteroid takes around 2-3 rockets on low grav in order to actually get there. Anyways, it's a pretty fun map to mess around in.

Anyways, each main section has a little map that tells you where you are so you don't get lost, and there's multiple paths to get out of spawn so you're not always stuck. There is little open spots in between each base so people can have Sniper battles (although I don't know if a Sniper bullet can actually reach that far).

From that, I would also like to add some maps that I feel need to retire from our server:

pkmn_saffroncity: While it lived a good and long run, most of the server doesn't like it anymore as the map is rather small and the bright colors hurts everyone's eyes.

trade_castlesiege: Most of the server doesn't care to nominate this map and it's rarely played.

trade_entertainment: Most people, when this map is played, rtv immediately or shortly after it's nominated because they don't like getting spawncamped and the map itself is small.

trade_minecraft_b42: While it is one of our oldest maps, it's rarely nominated anymore, and we seem to have a surplus of minecraft maps now. Speaking of minecraft maps...

trade_meincraft_shtupid: A rather small map with wonky physics and not much space to move around, most people hesistate to stay on the server. Also, most people are starting to get tired of Minecraft maps.

trade_patrol: No fighting = no fun from what I've seen. Most people immediately rtv because they can't fight.

trade_plaza: Another one of our older maps, a lot of the maps we currently have already incorporate this map into their map, so having the template seems a bit unnecessary, as this map also doesn't have resupply lockers so everyone relies on dispensers.

...And that should be about it for now. Thanks for the consideration.

Why not saffroncity though? Most of the people on the server hate it for it's bright colors and also it's easily spawn campable unlike the other maps I've suggested be removed.

To elaborate what the map is about, it's a map themed after well, Portal. It has a main central area where most of the fighting goes on (and it takes up about 70% of the map) and it has seperate little areas where you can spycrab (not necessarily needed) and go into a padded room(?).

A new map appeared on Gamebanana (woohoo)! This map is called trade_mystery_v1. It's a map that reminds me of achievement_turbov_v1 since it has a main hub that connects to other parts of the map. There are a few secret rooms on the map, only one I've been able to get to normally (another is noclip only, I think). It's still a pretty fun map besides the size. It's also still in beta so it will be updated in the future to be bigger and better (along wiith more secrets).

I'd be interested in removing trade_hugbox and trade_magic. I think the reason for hugbox is obvious, and if you take a look at magic, the BLU team is stuck in a box. Not a fun map, really.

Anyways, it's like trade_minecraft_b42, but better. It has a more extensive area for spawns, main areas, etc. and has little secrets that can only be found using +use. If we could, I would like to replace trade_minecraft_b42 or trade_minecraft_plaza to this one as it seems to be direct upgrades to them (also both maps are never played anymore).

I have not been happier for new maps in quite a while. Let's start, shall we?

I'll save the best for last. This map is pkmn_ecruteakcity_v1 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/182147) and might I say is very good. Though it has music playing on it constantly (which I ask may be removed if possible), it has a fairly large place to fight and walk around in along with being day time so you don't have to see the night for so long *cough* goldenrodcity *cough. All the buildings are accessible, and the map maker has made a new mechanic which requires you to melee hit the stairs (like you see in Pokemon games) in order to go up to the new floors, which I find quite ingenious and awesome.

This map is what I've been saving my hopes for. It is an updated version of trade_minecraft_hans called trade_minecraft_hans_v36 (http://tf2.gamebanana.com/mips/1565). If you may have noticed, our current map is a21, which is way far behind what this one has to offer. Hans now is no longer an empty cube of possibility but instead a towering fortress with many places to roam around in. Everything got updated, including the spawns, which now offer 4 exits instead of 3, one of which leads to the newest addition to the lobby: a floating wood structure good for fighting. People will no longer have to live in fear of constantly getting sniped across each spawn, as the main sniper fighting area has been covered up and moved to the top. There's now a jump course added along with an improved Aether for you to do all your low-grav needs in the sky. The skybox is no longer a faint memory as there is a way to get to it now (and not by noclip). There is a secret hallway inside the lava in the Nether (so donors can go there now and not be disturbed by non-donors) and there's another area which looks very very interesting since it's not Minecraft related but I unfortunately couldn't find out how to get to it; a real shame. Also, there's a trade_plaza there.

Anyways, I really hope these can get added soon.

It's tf_bigcity, and is basically what you'd expect; it's bigcity. Everything was changed around so that it would work with TF2, but I'm not quite sure if it'll properly work on the servers.

PLEASE, make sure that you use the original textures, I hate ports that use tf2 textures so much.

Maybe the mapmaker makes a new "version" everytime he makes a minor edit, and most of the versions aren't released since they're too minor to make a significant difference?

Yeah, some of the versions weren't released. It updated v89 to v109. He also does make minor edits each update, some can be theme changes.

This map was suggested before elsewhere, and we decided against it due to in-map reskins of existing content which leads to issues when joining other servers.

We also had the previous version of this map at some point in the past, and removed it because one of the spawns didn't have any doors to prevent players from shooting inside.

Turns out the krusty krab map was missing alot of textures.
Found one similar in the gmod workshop, but it's ment for zombie survival
Works fine, not sure if it could be used.
