Random Hats for a Random Gamemode

Now that we have this wonderful new Randomizer server, I think what we need are some random hats to go with it! I'm not entirely sure what the plugin is for the random hat on loadout is, but I know it exists. I'll update with info as I acquire it.

there is also a plugin that lets you use any prop as a hat the cvar is sv_hat

no idea how we would go about getting it but it exists, you could have gman as a hat or an explosive barrel or what have you

The problem with hats is that they'd be invisible on players.

Valve made it so that items given to players that they don't own are invisible, which is why weapons are invisible in Randomizer.

I'm not sure how we could get a plugin like that to randomize hats.

It would be hats in your inventory I believe, not random hats throughout the entire game. If that makes any difference.

I'll give you some videos I saw where it was in effect.



You can see that the classes aren't wearing their own class hats. I don't know what sort of black magic goes on, but its pretty cool.

Go to 2:30ish and you'll see him showcasing the plugin as well.

FlaminSarge is the creator of the current version of randomizer, and his hat functionality isn't public.
